Courtney is a Trauma-Informed Yoga Alliance certified yoga teacher (RYT-500) who uses her background in Massage Therapy and Somatic Experiencing to inform her multi-modal yoga practice. A practitioner of yoga and meditation since 2000, Courtney brings a deep history of her love for this sacred practice along with her intensive study in Anatomy, Physiology, and Biomechanics into her classes. She is trained in kundalini, vinyasa, yin, hatha, pranayama, chair, meditation, restorative, and yoga nidra.
She approaches yoga with a fun and playful attitude while still incorporating precise instruction and a deep understanding of the inner workings of the human body and mind. She encourages her students to laugh, to play, to try new things, and to also deepen their relationship with themselves. Students leave her classes having opened up their bodies and energy channels, while stilling their minds and connecting more deeply to their inner Being.
Courtney truly believes that yoga is for Every Body. Her approachable and caring presence provide an atmosphere for people of all skill levels, abilities, and body types to find a safe space to practice yoga. She understands that a studio atmosphere may be intimidating for those new to the practice, so she offers private instruction and small group classes, where she can give her undivided attention to her students. She creates individualized sessions for students on all stages of their yoga journey.
Courtney is a Yoga Alliance Certified Continuing Education Provider. Stay tuned for upcoming opportunities for CEs both live and pre-recorded.
